How to Apply?

Application deadline is October 15, 2012.

We use a rolling interview offer process.  Completed applications will be reviewed in the order they are received and interviews will be offered accordingly.  Applications are considered complete when the following documents have been received.  

• ERAS Application
• Three letters of recommendation including one from your current Program Director or Chairman
• USMLE Scores Part 1
• Medical School Transcript

For ranking, USMLE Part II Score and a Dean's letter are required but they are not required to be considered for an interview.

We only accept online applications.

Tulane Surgery participates in ERAS, the electronic residency application service, hosted by the Association of American Medical Colleges: https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/eras/

If you are a graduate of an international medical school:

• ECFMG certificate is required for interview.
• We sponsor J1 visas only.
• Clinical experience in the United States is required prior to seeking an interview with Tulane Surgery.

We review applications thoroughly, with particular interest in candidates demonstrating motivation personal character and commitment to excellence. Although we receive hundreds of well-qualified applications, we interview about 70 candidates each year.
