During your initial consultation you will meet with one of our board certified surgeons to review your medical history, conduct an in-depth medical exam, map out the course of treatment, and discuss surgical options if surgery is recommended. Some diagnostic tests may be required.

Our Locations

The Tulane Hernia Center has offices in two convenient locations; the Tulane Family Health Center - Uptown Clinic in New Orleans, and at the Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.

Regional and International Patients

Many of our patients travel from regional or international locations; New Orleans is readily accessible by interstate and is home to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. 

If you are traveling from a distance that will require an overnight stay there are many hotels that are within close proximity to the Tulane Hernia Center. Please note that patients are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.  Our Patient Concierge can provide you with a list of nearby hotels, or hotel information can be obtained from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau website at www.nomcvb.com.  Please contact our Patient Concierge at (504) 988-1950 or toll free 1 (888) 214-4820 if you have any questions.

If you are traveling from outside of the United States contact your country’s Bureau of Consular Affairs or the U.S. State Department (www.travel.state.gov) to see if you need to obtain a travel visa. Please make sure to allow time for your request to be processed. Contact the U.S. State Department or your government consulate if you need assistance.
