Provide comprehensive secretarial support and schedule coordination for the Chair of the Department of Surgery. Act as liaison between the Chairman and Tulane Medical Center and Tulane University administration, board members, faculty, staff, residents, students, visitors and members of the community. Coordinate departmental monthly and annual functions to Tulane University, Tulane Medical Center, the Tulane Medical Center affiliates, Children’s Hospital and the VA Medical Center. Coordinate faculty and staff recruitment. Coordinate the annual Resident Graduation Banquet with the Senior Program Coordinator and Residency Coordinator. Liaise with the Baton Rouge Renal Associates staff to schedule Dr. Slakey’s Clinic time.
