Interests:

Presently, I assist with the implementation and program evaluation of the Mental Health Consultation to child care centers program.  This entails supporting the day to day oversight of the mental health consultation effort, as well as the ongoing program evaluation of the mental health consultation program and other components of the new quality rating system including the Environmental Rating Scale assessments, teacher education registry, and the quality ratings overtime.  In addition, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education.  I have worked as a Mental Health Consultant with the Quality Start Program since its began statewide in July 2007.  As a Mental Health Consultant to childcare centers, I facilitated social emotion wellbeing education through a center-based approach.  This consultation model, included but was not limited to, didactic seminars with staff, classroom modeling and observation, parental meetings, and referrals to outside agencies.  I have also facilitated quarterly workshops through the local referral and resource agency, Northwestern State University, to support continued education for child development center owners, directors, and staff.
