Pulmonology

Robert L. Hopkins, MD

The section of pediatric pulmonology is recognized as one of the premier clinical referral sites in the gulf coast region. There are three senior staff with expertise in cystic fibrosis, asthma, chronic respiratory failure and respiratory complications of neuromuscular diseases.

The Pediatric Pulmonology section has expanded the number of specialty clinics in Lafayette at Women's and Children's Hospital. We will shortly conclude negotiations to begin pulmonary clinics on the west bank at West Jefferson Medical Center. This area no longer has on-site pediatric pulmonology services.
