Examine, diagnose and treat neonatal and perinatal patients, serving as the Attending Physician for neonates requiring Neonatal Intensive Care. Provide a full range of neonatal care, including conventional ventilatory support treatments, high frequency oscillatory ventilation and cooling treatments. Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for neonatal surgical patients. Teach and lead neonatal training of Pediatric Interns and Residents in the NICU. Organize, develop and provide simulation based training for neonatal resuscitation. Perform administrative duties, including membership in the Research Committee for the Department of Pediatrics and involvement in the Peer Review process for patient care. Perform clinical and basic research. Requirements: Medical Degree (M.D.) or Foreign Equivalent, Louisiana Medical License, BC/BE in Pediatrics, BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Pediatrics, and three (3) years of accredited Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Pediatrics.
