                        Requires additional 40 minutes preparation time

            Frozen, dyglycerized red blood cells
                        By special request only; requires 2-4 hours preparation time, and outdate I
                        24 hours after thawing.

 

Platelets:

            Platelet concentrates
                        Require 20 minutes for pooling (6)

Rarely, autologous or directed blood is requested.

Autologous or Directed blood donations may be arranged through the Blood Bank only upon specific written order by the physician. The specified donors will report to The Blood Center or their local blood collection center to donate the specified products.
