Nereida Parada, MD
Dr. Parada earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. She completed her Medicine Internship and Residency at University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Parada completed Fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Immunology at Boston University School of Medicine . She joined Tulane in 2000 and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Parada is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Allergy and Immunology. She also completed training for Mind-Body Medicine. She is the LSU Healthcare Effectiveness Statewide Asthma clinical lead and Asthma Disease Management Director for Tulane at the Interim Public LSU Hospital in New Orleans. She is a Board member of Plains-Gulf Region American Lung Association and serves as National Assembly member of the American Lung Association. She is a Co-founder and Board member of the Mind-Body Center of LA. Her main interests are asthma disease management and Mind-Body medicine.
