Dr. Chad Miller was presented on March 22, 2013, this year's Teaching Scholar Award offered by the Office of Medical Education due to his exceptional teaching and scholarship and his ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning at Tulane University School of Medicine.  The Teaching Scholar Award Committee was very impressed by the time and effort he devoted to instructional innovation and creativity, educational scholarship, and ongoing professional development.

S. Michal Jazwinski, PhD, the John W. Deming, MD Regents Chair in Aging and Director of the Tulane Center for Aging, was the recipient of the 2011 Kleemeier Award of the Gerontological Society of America, the highest research award given by this organization.  Dr. Jazwinski will deliver the Kleemeier Award Lecture on November 17, 2012, at the 65th Annual Meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in San Diego.
