Message from the Fellowship Director & the Associate Fellowship Director

Nancy Vander VeldeFellowship Director

Thank you for your interest in the Tulane University Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program.

We are a very competitive fellowship program, and select candidates from all over the United States. We are very proud of our graduates, and our commitment to the high standards that mark the training at Tulane University. Our fellows have successfully completed rigorous residency programs, and many have been involved in research publications, presentations, and community service. Our program offers a wide array of educational opportunities, with emphasis on patient care, professionalism, research, and scholarship. The Tulane University Hematology and Medical Oncology program offers several unique features. Located in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, fellows are exposed to a wide variety of patients and medical problems. Tulane works closely with other medical facilities such as University Hospital and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System to provide a broad range of experiences in providing health care. Graduates of our program have chosen to pursue their careers in both academic centers as well as successful private practices. Graduates have obtained positions throughout the country, although many have chosen to continue their careers with Tulane or in the New Orleans area.

Please explore our website, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about our fellows and faculty, as well as our research opportunities and academic activities.
