The faculty of Tulane University School of Medicine Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology provides inpatient and outpatient care to patients at three institutions: Tulane Medical Center, Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, and Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care Systems.

Hematology & Medical Oncology faculty and fellows provide inpatient consultation services to Tulane Medical Center, Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, and Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care Systems patients twelve months per year.
Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplantion Unit

Sickle Cell Day Hospital
The Sickle Cell Day Hospital is a joint effort between Tulane University Health Sciences Center and the Sickle Cell Center of Southern Louisiana. The day hospital is a 5-bed unit located on the 4th Floor of Tulane Medical Center. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Louisiana Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders (Hemophilia Center)
The Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders is a designated center for coagulation disorders (bleeding and clotting problems). The center offers comprehensive care to adults with clotting problems (such as venous or arterial thrombosis or pulmonary emboli) or people at risk for clotting. Additionally, the center evaluates and manages people with bleeding disorders and houses the Louisiana Comprehensive Hemophilia Care Center.
