Welcome to the website for the Section of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. The Medical School is part of the Tulane University Health Sciences Center, an institution with a proud and distinguished history of providing care for diverse populations around the globe, for advancing medical knowledge, and for training a new generation of physicians. Our mission is to improve the health of diverse populations through education, innovation, quality clinical services, and outreach.
Section faculty are a devoted group of 45 general internists and geriatricians who provide clinical services and medical education at our three affiliated medical centers, the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Tulane University Hospital and Clinic.
Our Section is diverse in activities, skills, and interests. Nonetheless, our faculty is united by its dedication to our basic mission of advancing patient care for diverse populations through education, health research, and clinical services.
