Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine
Dr Gold is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Gastroenterology at Tulane Medical Center. He graduated from LSU in 1967 and LSU Medical School in 1971. He did his residency at the Medical College of VIrginia from 1971-1973 and 1975-1976. There was a two year interruption of his residency, during which time he served as a Marine Battalion Surgeon in the US Navy.
He then did his GI fellowship at the University of Florida Medical School from 1976-1978. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He was on the Faculty of Tulane Medical School from 1978-1985, also as a Clinical Associate Professor and was given the Owl Club award as outstanding clinical professor. He was in private practice since 1978 and joined the Tulane faculty again in 2008. He is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterology Association.
