GENERAL MEDICINE ELECTIVES
COMMUNITY HEALTH PRACTICE AND POLICY

Maximum number of students: one per block
Timeframe: all year, but check with course director
Prerequisite:  Completion of the Internal Medicine Clerkship with a passing gradeand approval from the course director.

Through this course, students will gain key insights into major issues facing ambulatory practice and primary care.

Grading Policy: Students will receive either pass of fail grades based on a brief literature review on a public health policy topic of interest to community health (50%), presentation (25%) and written report (25%). The literature review will culminate in a presentation of the findings to community health leadership.
