Participants at Lose Dat! learn about community resources that provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Lose Dat! occurs every Monday night from 5:30-6:30pm at the Ruth Fertel/Tulane Community Health Center through the Brinton Family Health & Healing Center.
Citrus aroma fills the air in the lobby of the Ruth Fertel/Tulane Community Health Center. Help yourself to a healthy snack: local and fresh citrus fruit donated by the New Orleans Fruit Tree Project!
One-on-one computer coaching in the Brinton Family Health & Healing Center's Patient Library makes mastering the computer fun for both students and coaches. Classes use a curriculum specially designed for our computer literacy students and cover topics like computer basics, setting up an e-mail account, typing, and resume building.
Lose Dat! participants learn how to sneak kale, a healthy vegetable, into a sweet and refreshing fruit smoothie. Cooking demonstrations at Lose Dat show us how to tweak our favorite foods to make them better for our bodies. Yum!
As our month focus rotates, be sure to pick up the latest information about the topic at the Ruth U. Fertel/Tulane Community Health Center, brought to you by the Brinton Family Health & Healing Center!
