Selection Factors
Although there are no specific course requirements for entry into Tulane Medical School it is expected that applicants will hold a Bachelor's degree at a minimum. A broad undergraduate education including coursework in liberal arts such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, chemistry, biology, physics, foreign languages, art and music are encouraged. Applicants who have unusual talents, strong humanistic qualities, demonstrated leadership and significant experience requiring teamwork skills are sought. Community service and volunteerism are also weighted heavily in the application process. Tulane has not established mandatory minimal MCAT or GPA scores, as all components of the application are considered in a holistic, manner when choosing the medical school class.
