The research laboratories of all units of the Health Sciences Center as well as those facilities for biological, behavioral, and physical sciences on the St. Charles Campus of Tulane University are state-of-the-art and provide access to highly sophisticated core resources to pursue cutting-edge research. Clinical Research Curriculum Scholars can also pursue mentored research in laboratories other than Tulane by special approval.

Distance Learning Classroom (DL Classroom) - Funded by the NIH IDeA-CTR grant to the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science (LA CaTS) center, the DL classroom is a state of the art facility that has been designed to make the DL experience valuable for both distance learners and instructors. The classroom provides live audio links to remote students anywhere in the world, via Adobe Connect. The classroom is located in A111, Mezzanine floor of the J. Bennett Johnston (JBJ) building and has a set capacity of 25.

Features of the DL classroom include:

  • Flexible room arrangement
  • Large drop-down projector screen
  • Ceiling mounted LCD projector
  • Ceiling mounted microphone system for recording and speaking remotely
  • Ceiling mounted speaker network
