Thank you for your interest in training at Tulane University School of Medicine, however at this time Tulane University School of Medicine is only offering electives to foreign medical school that already have existing contracts. All other should apply through the AAMC VSAS system. If our school has an affiliation you may proceed and fill out an application and information as instructed below. Please note that even with an affiliation agreement only clerkships in internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry and neurology are available.
Below is a brief statement of the requirements and some general information. For additional information, please see our Clinical Clerkships page which lists all the clinical clerkships available to visiting students. NOTE: ONLY ELECTIVES are offered to visiting students. No Core rotations are available to visiting students.

OTHER INFORMATION
Clerkships must be taken in accordance with Tulane's schedule. These clerkships are usually of one month duration.
Applications from visiting students are processed after Tulane junior medical students have signed up for their Senior clerkships, which usually begin between the end of April and mid-May.
There is a $300 non-refundable fee for processing the application of students and tuition charge of $500 per month. All fees must be paid in full prior to you starting your rotations.
Visiting students are responsible for their housing and parking expenses and for making their own arrangements. For information regarding housing, please call Housing and Residence Life at 504-988-6275 or email Bill Coureti at wcoureti@tulane.edu. Parking arrangements at the School must be made in advance. Contact the Tulane Medical Center Parking Services Office (phone: 504-988-5577; fax: 504-988-3795).
