Responsibilities of the Office of Student Affairs:

Serves as Registrar for the School of Medicine.

Provides academic, personal, and career counseling.

Acts on behalf of the School of Medicine in personal emergencies.

Coordinates the formal orientation of entering medical students.

Coordinates all activities associated with the annual White Coat Ceremony.

Coordinates special billing.

Coordinates all SSCR files with the DOE and the National Clearinghouse.

Coordinates paperwork among military branches for students.

Chairs the Committee on Student Affairs

Coordinates activities with Student Health Services.

Coordinates all activities for summer school.

Coordinates all activities associated with visiting students.

Processes all applications for licensure exams.

Coordinates all activities associated with the MATCH.

Composes, types, and prints all MSPEs for residency application.

Coordinates all ERAS applications.

Tracks all combined degree candidates.

Provides letters of recommendation for students for various agencies.

Schedules all courses and clinical rotations.

Processes all changes in schedules.

Administers all disciplinary actions.
