The Tulane School of Social Work partners with numerous community organizations to offer its students community outreach opportunities along with public lectures and even community education efforts. Below is a listing of upcoming events both at TSSW as well as in the community that focus or address a social need or offer a social service or learning opportunity.

Friday, Dec. 5 -- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tulane School of Social Work Poster Session Qatar Ballroom on the second floor of the Lavin-Bernick Center
The School of Social Work is proud to present its annual Poster Session, which features the professional projects of all its December 2013 graduation candidates. All first-year students and community members are encouraged to attend. The poster professional is a very important part of the Master of Social Work degree that all students must complete to degree their degree.
Friday, Dec. 13 -- 7 p.m. Tulane School of Social Work Commencement Ceremonies Dixon Hall on Tulane's Uptown Campus
The Tulane School of Social Work is very excited to announce that our annual December commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at Dixon Hall on Tulane's Uptown Campus. This graduation ceremony includes students earning a Master of Social Work, Master of Science from the Disaster Resilience Academy or a Ph.D. in Social Work. The ceremony will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and will last approximately one hour. No tickets are needed for the event as seating is open and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis so students are encouraged to invited as many family and friends as they would like.
Following the graduation ceremony, the School will host a reception to celebrate our students' accomplishment with friends and family in the Ballroom on the second floor of the Lavin-Bernick Center. The celebratory reception will include cake and refreshments immediately following the ceremony. The social work ceremony is an open event, and seating is filled on a first come, first serve basis.
