Tulane University is developing university wide social entrepreneurship initiatives to promote social innovation across Tulane and beyond. Through a variety of programs, the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative will facilitate Tulane students and the New Orleans community in creating innovative and sustainable solutions to our community's most pressing social challenges.
Here are some of the initiatives we are working on:
The NewDay Social Entrepreneurship Challenge is a competition for social entrepreneurial ventures developed by Tulane students whose primary goal is to effect social change in New Orleans. Want a chance to win up to $20,000 to turn your idea into a social venture? Click here to learn more.
The NewDay Social Entrepreneurship Distinguished Speakers Series debuts in Fall 2009. The series will present prominent leaders from across the field of social entrepreneurship to share their own experiences, challenges, insights, thoughts, and recommendations to students and the community. Click here to learn more.
AshokaU Changemaker Campus is a unique partnership opportunity between Ashoka and Tulane University students, faculty, staff and administrators. Our aim is to co-create a vision and plan of action to improve teaching, research and engagement opportunities in social entrepreneurship. Click here to learn more.
