Straight from the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour, as seen on Comedy Central! Palestinian-American comedian Dean Obeidallah continues the Reading Project dialogue with a night of topical comedy. He draws on his personal experience and unique sense of humor to explore the reality of post-9/11 Arab-American life. Free and open to the public.

Film Screening: Persepolis
The Reading Project continues with a screening of this critically acclaimed animated film, based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, who co-wrote and co-directed the film version. The heroine of Persepolis is an Iranian teenager who rebels against the newly powerful Islamic fundamentalist regime, buying Western music and clothing on the black market, but who must ultimately come to terms with her heritage. Free and open to the public.
