Toy Safety Tips Find out what toys your children are receiving, and take precautions. Can those toy parts be accidentally swallowed? Could they puncture skin? Are they fire-resistant? Read instructions with your children, and explain any safety rules that apply.

On the Road We all know the rule of having a designated driver to keep everyone safe. If you have recipes for alcohol-free drinks this is a great time to share them with others. You should also be cautious of others and drive defensively. Take into account unfavorable weather that creates driving hazards.

Don't fire Guns Don't celebrate by firing bullets into the air! What goes up must come down!

Q:  Will there be Public Safety services during the Winter Recess Holidays?

A: The TUHSC Police operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year. We never stop patrolling, and you can count on it that all telephone calls will be answered by one of our staff members and not a machine. We are one of the few places you can count on for information and other assistance. Call 9 88-5531 at any time. Our emergency number is 9 88-5555 (on campus ext. 55555). Off campus emergencies should be dialed to 911.

IT'S BOWL TIME

It's that time of the year that football takes over the city. Beginning Saturday December 18, 2009 the New Orleans Bowl featuring the Troy Trojans and the Ohio Bobcats will take place in the Louisiana Superdome. Then on Tuesday 1/4/2010 the Allstate Sugar Bowl game featuring the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Arkansas Rozorbacks kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the Dome. Please remember to pay attention to all street closures and parking instructions, you wouldn't want your evening to end at the impound yard!!
