About SGA:
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as a focus for student concerns and activities through representing student views to the administration and faculty. Student involvement is encouraged and reflected in representation on special school committees, including student affairs, general faculty, and curriculum. The SGA president is a voting member of the executive faculty committee and an ex-officio member of the Tulane University Health Sciences Center Board of Governors.
SGA is governed by a constitution with officers elected annually. All students in the school are members. SGA activities include the course evaluation program, publication of a student newsletter, sale of school-related apparel, coordination of community support functions, and sponsorship of social and professional development events. SGA has four senatorial seats in the university's graduate and professional student association (GAPSA), through which students can participate in all aspects of university-wide student government.
