J. Bennett Johnston Health & Environmental Research Building, recently renovated by New Orleans architecture and interior design firm Eskew+Dumez+Ripple along with Markdesign LLC, won the 2014 IDEA Award of Excellence for Renovation/Historic Preservation from the International Interior Design Association.

Construction on Greenbaum House is now complete and is being occupied by it's first class of students for the 2014-2015 academic year. Greenbaum House will be the third residence hall following the residential college model with Wall Residential College and Weatherhead Hall preceding it.

The Arbor Day Foundation has recognized the Tulane University Uptown Campus again this year as a Tree Campus USA.  The campus has been recognized each year since 2009, marking 2014 as Tulane's fifth consecutive year!

Tulane Featured In Guide To Green Colleges

Tulane is featured in "The Princeton Review's Guide to 322 Green Colleges," a publication produced in conjunction with the Center for Green Schools. The feature highlights the efforts of the Tulane Green Machine, the integration of environmental issues in academic programs and the efforts of the School of Architecture. (Link)

The Tulane Green Machine Receives Sustainability Award

The Tulane Green Machine, consisting of members from several divisions of Tulane with the common goal of greening campus buildings, was awarded a Sustainability Leadership Award of Operational Excellence by the Louisiana Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.  The award recognizes teams of people who work to promote green practices in both the construction and operation of buildings in Louisiana.
