Dear Tulanians and Friends,
April is a busy time at Tulane and in New Orleans. Classes end and students start studying for finals. Meanwhile, the university prepares for Commencement, which is May 16 this year. Ellen DeGeneres is the keynote speaker and will receive the President’s medal. Harry Connick Jr. and three other luminaries will receive honorary degrees.
The end of April also marks the start of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. If you’re a student who plays in the Tulane Jazz Orchestra, you are busy preparing for your performance at the Fest on April 30 (11:15 a.m. at the WWOZ Jazz Tent). It’s one example of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunities our students are offered.
Please help keep Tulane on Track by giving to the Tulane Fund, which supports scholarships that attract the best and brightest students. The university relies on the scholarships provided by the Tulane Fund to offer unique programs that take learning beyond the classroom -- to research labs, local schools and clinics, even to Jazz Fest. Please take a look.
