Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Program

The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard requires employers to develop an Exposure Control Plan (ECP) to eliminate or minimize exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material. ECPs have been developed for the Uptown Campus, TUHSC, TNPRC and the Student Health Clinic. As part of the ECP, the hepatitis B vaccine series offered free of charge to all employees with occupational exposure to blood or body fluids.
