Adding a print icon or link to a CMS page

  • To show on a few pages: Follow the steps below to add on your selected pages. We recommend only adding to select pages, because every print version of a page will appear in Internet searches. Please be selective and only add print versions to pages like: policies, schedules and articles.
  • To show on all pages: Add the icon/link to your template before you build pages and lock down element inheritance if you want it to appear on all pages.
  • To show on most pages: Add the icon/link to your template before you build pages; don't lock down element inheritance and delete on the pages you don't want it to appear.

When a user clicks the print icon or link, you'll notice that the URL changes by adding ?RenderForPrint=1 at the end. The header and sidebar will disappear to make the page simple to print. The user can click the back button or click 'web version' to return to the original view.
