What: A National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Awareness Month press conference where Dr. Amy Young, professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology at LSUHSC School of Medicine and Julie Mickelberry, director of public affairs for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast will present successes and challenges in policy and prevention efforts.

More: In 2010, $30 million in grants were awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to state and non-profit agencies in Louisiana to address teen pregnancy prevention. These organizations formed the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition to support each other’s efforts.
