What: Music Rising at Tulane’s launch of an innovative website focusing on the musical culture of the Gulf South. The site will feature original content, artists’ biographies, a K-12 curriculum and a state-of-the-art music instructional program.

Who: U2’s The Edge, co-founder of Music Rising, will help introduce the site through a video message. Appearing live at the launch will be legendary record producer Bob Ezrin, co-founder of Music Rising; a host of New Orleans musicians; Tulane Provost Michael Bernstein; Carole Haber, dean of the Tulane School of Liberal Arts; and Joel Dinerstein, director of the New Orleans Center for the Gulf South.

When: Wednesday, April 23, at 1 p.m.

Where: Wilson Center Atrium on Ben Weiner Drive on Tulane’s uptown campus.
