MORE: The election for Orleans Parish School Board is Nov. 6. Much will be at stake as the new board will not only select a new superintendent but will also set the tone for how the district – which is comprised of state-run charter schools and a smaller number of locally controlled schools – evolves within the state’s framework of post-Katrina education reforms.
