WHAT:    A forum to learn more about the candidates running for Orleans Parish School Board and highlight the major issues facing public education in New Orleans.


WHEN:  6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2

WHERE: First Baptist Church of New Orleans, 5290 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA

MORE:   The election for Orleans Parish School Board is Nov. 6. Much will be at stake as the new board will not only select a new superintendent but will also set the tone for how the district – which is comprised of state-run charter schools and a smaller number of locally controlled schools – evolves within the state’s framework of post-Katrina education reforms.
