Tulane Graduate Arrives in New Orleans in Golf Cart on Friday

WHO: Tulane graduate Greg Thurnher, who traveled across the country in a souped-up golf cart emblazoned with gold and green flames to raise awareness about New Orleans' comeback from Katrina and its continued appeal as a college town.

WHAT: Thurnher and his entourage will arrive in New Orleans, having made multiple stops along I-10 where they staged mini-Mardi Gras parades. Stops included cities in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana. Tulane alumni and supporters will greet the travelers. The celebration will include giveaways - Tulane beads, cups, and more. Free and open to the public.
