Former professional baseball player, engaged couples, brothers among those to receive medical residency matches

What: Graduating Tulane medical students receive their residency program assignments as part of the National Residency Matching Program.

Where: Sheraton Hotel, Armstrong Ballroom, 500 Canal Street

More: Graduating Tulane medical students will attend Tulane's annual Match Day ceremony to find out where they have been assigned for their residency, the next stage in their medical education.

Marc Kahn, associate dean of admissions and student affairs at Tulane University School of Medicine, will announce the residency assignment of each student. The National Resident Matching Program, which annually pairs graduating medical students with academic medical institutions nationwide, regularly assigns Tulane graduates to the most highly rated institutions throughout the country.
