Emmy award-winning actor and screenwriter Harold Sylvester, a regular on the comedy series, "Married...with Children" and frequent guest on the hospital drama "City of Angels," will join talk show host Jerry Springer, producer Al Salzer (HBO's "Double Crossed") and a host of other Tulane University-graduates-turned-Hollywood-success-stories at the Tulane University Educational Conference, "Let Us Entertain You, Act II," Feb. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Dixon Hall.
The conference will feature actors, producers, writers, singers and designers offering tips for success as well as memories of some of the entertainment classics they helped bring to the stage and screen. Highlights include discussions on costume design, climbing to the top and paying dues, a look back at New Orleans' famous My-Oh-My club and a performance from former Tulane professor John Baur's opera based on the life of Martin Luther King.
Other participants include Rob Steinberg, "Dr. Webb" on "The Bold and Beautiful;" Joseph Wolf, producer of "Nightmare on Elm Street;" Rick Hurst, "Deputy Cletus Hogg" on the "Dukes of Hazard;" Malcolm Petal, producer of "The Brooke Ellison Story;" costume designer Kirche Zeile; Tulane Summer Lyric favorite Liz Argus; Michael Salinas of the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane; actor Emil Lawrence, whose credits include "CSI Miami;" assistant director George Bott, whose crew credits include "O Brother, Where Art Thou?;" costume designer Jeanne Button; historians Thomasine Bartlett and Michael Mizell-Nelson and performers Valetta Brinson, Allen Todd and Mark Ensley.
