Tulane Gains New Board Member

Alison Stone Golcher, the former assistant director in charge of project development at the Centro de Investigacirn y Adiestramiento Polltico Administrativo in San Josi, Costa Rica, has been named a member of the Tulane Board of Administrators.

Golcher attended Tulane after studying in Paris at the Ecole Active Bilingue, earning an undergraduate degree from Newcomb College in 1983, a masters of arts in Latin American studies from the Graduate School in 1987 and a doctorate in Latin American studies in 1993.

While at Tulane, she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society in education and co-founded the Latin Americanist Graduate Organization. She also was awarded five graduate fellowships. Golcher, who has been a member of Tulane's President Council since 1995 and is a former member of the Provost's Council, resides in El Salvador.

The board of administrators is composed of 25 active (voting) members and 29 emeritus members.
