EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to Headline 10th Anniversary Tulane Engineering Forum

The tenth annual Tulane Engineering Forum will be held at the Morial Convention Center on Friday, April 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The conference will include more than 20 presentations targeted at professional engineers and architects.  More than 500 engineers and architects are expected to attend. The luncheon keynote speaker will be Lisa P. Jackson, EPA administrator and alumnus of Tulane University.

Experts from around the country will share their knowledge in plenary talks, panel presentations and concurrent sessions.  Forum sessions will cover infrastructure, fueling our energy future in a carbon-constrained world, trends in chemical and petrochemical processing, emerging technologies and materials in architectural practice, aerospace, infrastructure restoration in Louisiana, the search for deep hydrocarbons and nature vs. bio-inspired engineering in architectural design and innovation.  The forum opens with a morning plenary session focused on coastal restoration and flood protection.  Terrence Chambers, associate professor with University of Louisiana at Lafayette is scheduled to present the session on ethics.

Prior to March 26, registration is $225 for Tulane University alumni and $250 for the general public. To register, visit Professional engineers can earn eight professional development hours for attending, including one ethics professional development hour.
