Seniors of Seven Local Universities Will be Recognized by City Council

WHAT: The City Council of New Orleans will honor Tulane’s graduating class of 2009. These students' first days at Tulane as freshmen were interrupted by the evacuation for Hurricane Katrina, yet they chose to return to New Orleans after the storm to continue their studies and help rebuild the city. Participating in the ceremony will be university presidents, other university administration officials, and student government representatives from Dillard, Loyola, Tulane and Xavier Universities, Southern University of New Orleans, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and University of New Orleans.
