For those who wish to give memorable gifts this year, the Hullabaloo Holiday Auction is a fun approach to holiday shopping. The online auction is an opportunity to snag once-in-a-lifetime items online for friends and family, while avoiding retail madness.

The auction is a great way to combine holiday shopping and end-of-the-year philanthropy. The event supports Tulane University student-athletes and student community outreach projects through Tulane Empowers.

With a range of items to choose from, there is something for everyone. Need to shop for a sports fan? Buy a raffle ticket at $100 each for a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII. Also available are tickets to the Los Angeles Clippers at New Orleans Pelicans NBA game, and an opportunity to have lunch with former NFL running back Eric Dickerson or Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

For foodies, a one-year membership to the exclusive Dinner Lab is a gift that keeps on giving. These coveted memberships allow diners access to unforgettable meals by talented chefs in untraditional settings. Membership is offered in a city of your choice: New Orleans, Austin, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago or Washington, D.C.

If your loved one is aching for a getaway, travel opportunities are also up for bid. Give the gift of a two-night stay for two in a Wyndham Vacation Rental on the Gulf Coast, or choose two $500 travel saving certificates for a discount on any Gohagan & Co. travel program sponsored by Tulane Alumni Travel. Upcoming travel packages include “River Life Along the Dutch Waterways,” “European Coastal Civilizations,” “Island Life in Ancient Greece and Turkey,” and many more.

Bidding, which is under way now, ends on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
