PitchNOLA 2012 finalists are competing at Tulane University today (Nov. 14) in a live “elevator pitch” showdown to see who has the best concept for a new social venture benefiting New Orleans.
The top prize will be $5,000 with an additional $500 award for the audience’s favorite pitch. "PitchNOLA 2012: Community Solutions" is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Freeman Auditorium of Woldenberg Art Center on the Tulane uptown campus.
“We received over 100 combined applications for PitchNOLA 2012 and are thrilled by the quality of these submissions and the promise that these projects hold for New Orleans and its residents,” says Lina Alfieri Stern, director of the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship at Tulane University.
The contest is sponsored by Tulane Social Entrepreneurship Initiatives, the A. B. Freeman School of Business and Propeller, a local social entrepreneurship group.
