Students launch their canoes into Bayou St. John in the late afternoon. The outing was a guided tour conducted by the Outdoor Recreation Program of the Reily Student Recreation Center at Tulane University. An urban waterway, Bayou St. John extends from Lake Pontchartrain to the Mid-City neighborhood.
