The Department of Housing and Residential Life has introduced a new set of amenities being made available this fall. From free laundry facilities to a free premium television channel, there is something for on-campus residents to get excited about.

Before now, on-campus residents received free basic cable, but the addition of a free premium channel is definitely a bonus. Nancy Goff, HRL director of finance and operations, says the free laundry facilities will be a favorite for most.

“When they return to campus in the fall, I think our residents will most appreciate the elimination of quarters or the Splash Card to do laundry,” says Goff. “When students talk, we listen.”

In addition to the new laundry setup and the free premium cable channel, a Tulane recycling bin and Safe Plug MicroFridge have been added to every residence hall room on campus. (Students living in Aron Residences, HRL’s on-campus apartments, will not receive a MicroFridge.)

“We hope the recycling bins will aid in environmental awareness among residents,” says Goff. “HRL is excited for the 2012-2013 school year, and we constantly strive to provide our residents with a safe, healthy and comfortable environment.”
