Fences are up as construction work continues for a new pedestrian plaza where the quad and circle drive meet Newcomb Hall on the university's uptown campus. When completed in late October, the Newcomb Plaza will offer seating in shaded areas around planted features.
Thirteen parking spaces at the top of the circle will be relocated, but cars will still be able to drive around the circle when work is finished. The project is the third phase of long-term work on the middle campus that eventually will join the quads between Newcomb Hall and McAlister Auditorium.
