Want to have lunch with actors Wendell Pierce or Bryan Batt? Get VIP seats for the Book of Mormon on Broadway? Ride in a Mardi Gras parade at University Studios in Florida? Spend a day at the Saratoga Springs Race Course? It’s all up for bid in the Spring Online Hullabaloo Auction, benefiting Tulane student-athletes.

More than 80 opportunities in sports, travel and entertainment are being offered in the spring auction, open for bidding through June 13 on charitybuzz.com.

It’s all for a very worthy Green Wave cause, says Rick Dickson, Tulane athletics director.

“The Hullabaloo Auction & Party, which takes place the night before Homecoming, has become the signature fundraising event of the year for Tulane Athletics,” Dickson said. “We have experimented with doing a spring online version of this the past couple years with increased success. This year we believe we’ve taken it to yet another level.

“I think people will really enjoy the vast array of items available to bid on — and of course, all proceeds support your student-athletes.”

Fans of the stage and screen may bid on lunch or dinner for two with Pierce, who portrayed trombonist Antoine Batiste in “Treme,” or lunch with Batt, the Broadway actor, author and designer.

Sports enthusiasts can choose from golf packages, professional soccer experiences and tickets to the U.S. Open Men’s Final in tennis, pro baseball games and football games with the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Green Wave fans can bid to travel with the football team or spend a day with the football or basketball coaching staff. Travelers can consider tickets to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, or a Mexico vacation.

On Nov. 2, the Hullabaloo Auction Party takes place during homecoming weekend (Nov. 2 and 3), with live bidding plus another online auction.
