Area investors will get a rare opportunity to hear from top management of some of the region’s most attractive public companies later this week at the A. B. Freeman School of Business’ 18th Annual Burkenroad Reports Investment Conference.
The conference, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday (April 25) at the New Orleans Hyatt Regency Hotel, 601 Loyola Ave. in downtown New Orleans. Top executives from 34 publicly held companies in the Gulf South will give investors an inside look at their companies’ financial performance during the past year and prospects for growth.
Tulane University business students release extensive research reports on each company at the annual event, which offers members of the public a barometer for the regional and national economy.
Since 1993, Burkenroad Reports has been producing investment research reports on dozens of small-cap “Stocks Under Rocks” headquartered in the South. The Hancock Horizon Burkenroad Mutual Fund (Ticker Symbol: HYBUX) utilizes this student-produced research.
Presenting companies include IBERIABANK Corp., Cal-Maine Foods, Globalstar, Stone Energy Corp., Pool Corp., Crown Crafts, Tidewater, Sanderson Farms, MidSouth Bancorp., Amerisafe, Deltic Timber Corp. and more.
