Enjoy the Latin soul music of Los Po-Boy-Citos and help raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Friday's (March 5) benefit concert, "Funk Leukemia," sponsored by a Tulane fraternity chapter.
The Mu Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity holds the charity concert each year. The Howlin' Wolf, 907 S. Peters St., is the location for this year's event that starts at 9:30 p.m. Two buses will be available to transport concert goers to the Howlin' Wolf, leaving at 9 p.m. from in front of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library on the uptown campus.
Tickets are $10 at the door but are available for $8 today and Friday in the Lavin-Bernick Center from noon until 3 p.m. The Howlin' Wolf also has tickets available on its website.
Los Po-Boy-Citos recently was voted Best Emerging Artist by OffBeat magazine. For more information, e-mail Matthew Teplitz or call 708-638-3359.
