Newcomb Scholars Application Timeline-2012

Information sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday, September 4, LBC Room 202, 5:00pm and 6:30pm
  • Wednesday, September 5, LBC Room 212, 5:00pm and 6:30pm
  • Thursday, September 6, LBC Room 202, 4:00pm and 5:30pm

Students will also have the opportunity to talk with current Newcomb Scholars to hear about their experiences in the program. Students only need to attend one session (which will be about an hour), and they do not have to RSVP.

Friday, September 7: Applications will be available on the Newcomb College Institute website.

Friday, September 21, 4:00pm: Applications are due to the Newcomb College Institute. Link to campus map (Late applications will not be accepted.)

Week of October 15: Candidates will be notified regarding the status of application.

October 18-November 1 (Monday-Friday): Candidate Interviews

Week of November 5: Candidates will be notified of final decision.

November 12-28: Candidates selected as Newcomb Scholars will meet with program administrators.

Saturday, December 1: Retreat for Newcomb Scholars, Class of 2016! The Retreat is required and it is a day-long opportunity to meet your fellow Newcomb Scholars, interact with veteran Newcomb Scholars, establish goals for yourself, and establish goals for your class.
