Newcomb Regional Book Clubs: Fall 2015

The fall 2015 book club selection is Capital Dames: The Civil War and the Women of Washington 1848-1868 by Cokie Roberts. Cokie Roberts, an award-winning journalist and bestselling author, is a native New Orleanian with strong connections to Tulane through her parents Lindy and Hale Boggs. Her book offers a captivating look at Washington, D.C. and the experiences, influence, and contributions of its women during the Civil War.

Spring 2011 marked the first gatherings of the Newcomb Book Club. These evenings of friendship and conversation, open to all Newcomb and Tulane alumnae and alumni, proved to be so successful that the NAA continues to expand the number of cities hosting book clubs, offering fall and spring gatherings in selected cities.
