Newcomb Regional Book Clubs

Spring 2011 marked the first gatherings of the Newcomb Book Club. These evenings of friendship and conversation proved to be so successful that the NAA expanded the number of cities hosting book clubs this year, offering fall and spring gatherings in selected cities.

This spring the Newcomb Book Clubs will discuss
Nothing Right, a collection of short stories by Antonya Nelson, the 2012 Zale-Kimmerling Writer-in-Residence.  Known for her exploration of the emotional terrain of women, the Washington Post named Ms. Nelson one of the “twenty young fiction writers of the new millennium.” In Nothing Right, she crafts an intelligent collection of stories examining marriage, relationships, betrayal and the power struggles that constitute family life.
