UNDER THE OAKS 2010 was a Tulane Commencement event honoring graduates, the Newcomb College Class of 1960, and Newcomb Fellows. It took place at 2pm Friday 14 May in Dixon Auditorium, Dixon Hall on the Newcomb College Campus of Tulane University. Newcomb College Institute Executive Director Sally Kenney presided over the ceremony.

Under the Oaks is planned and presented each year since 2007 by the staff of Newcomb College Institute under the direction of Jan Mulvihill with the assistance of many Newcomb-identified Tulane students and Newcomb College alumnae.

 

We at Newcomb College Center for Research on Women are particularly pleased to congratulate the 2010 recipients of the Shelley Coverman and Sylvia Dreyfus Awards recognizing outstanding feminist scholarship and activism.

NCCROW is also pleased to congratulate her four-year Vorhoff Library student worker Allison Gallaspy on her receipt of the only 2010 Newcomb College diploma.
