1. Support for international activities in the classroom: The Argenti Fund
This donor-supported fund will provide resources to enrich classes that have an international focus. Such requests can include funds for films, supplies, projects, student research, or serve to supplement outside speaker funds. As this is a limited fund, the maximum that can be requested is $200. In the future, as we will attempt to provide support for fall and spring courses, requests for the fall semester will be due at the end of the preceding spring semester; requests for the spring semester will be due at the end of the preceding fall. In academic year 2012, however, we will only be considering requests for the upcoming spring semester.
Individuals should submit a request in triplicate to the Dean’s office that includes:

This fund will support PoP travel to conferences. It will give first priority to those who are giving papers at international meetings; second priority is given to those who are giving papers at national conferences. The maximum that can be requested is $1000.

Although there is no single application time, the money will be allocated for international conferences on a first-come, first served basis.
This fund will augment monies received from the Provost for international travel or other center-supported funds. To be considered for these funds, faculty must be giving a paper at an international conference. The maximum that can be requested is $1000.
