Kathleen E. Davis received her Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley in Comparative Literature with specializations in Spanish and Chinese. Her current research and teaching interests include 18th and 19th century literature in Castilian, Catalan, and Portuguese. She has recently published The Latest Style: The Fashion Writing of Blanca Valmont and Economies of Domesticity with Iberoamericana Press and "Sons of Adam: Cultural Transference in Galdós' Aita Tettauen" in the Bulletin of Spanish Studies. Currently, she is at work on a manuscript examining representations of China in Iberian fiction and travel writing. She is also Associate Faculty of the Asian Studies Program.
